Talents
Aimed Shot
- Ranged attack that receives D3 extra damage instead of 1 for each
point of agility bonus modifier . Aimed Shot is required in order
to learn Multi Shot and Quick Shot.
Multi Shot
- Ranged attack that hits the target creature and up to agility
bonus modifier number of extra targets that are adjacent to the
target creature. Multi Shot cannot be used with slow weapons.
Quick Shot
- Ranged attack that allows the creature to move before taking
the shot. Quick Shot cannot be used with slow weapons.
Steady Shot
- Ranged attack that allows the creature to re-roll a failed to-hit
check and doubles damage if used while hidden.
Blade Flurry
- Melee attack that receives up to one extra attack per weapon
(agility bonus modifier +1 or better for main hand and +3 or better
for offhand). Blade Flurry requires either two small weapons or a
medium weapon that is used two-handedly.
Deadly Throw
- Thrown weapon attack that receives D3 extra damage instead of 1
for each point of strength or agility bonus modifier, whichever is
higher. Deadly Throw also allows the creature to use strength or
agility modifier for to-hit and damage with all thrown weapon attacks.
Heroic Charge
- Allows the creature to move up to two spaces and attack a
target at the end of the move. Heroic Charge also increases the
attacker's damage modifier by 1 for the attack.
Crushing Blow
- Main hand melee attack that receives D3 extra damage instead of 1
for each point of strength bonus modifier. Crushing Blow requires
a medium or large weapon. Crushing Blow is required in order to learn
Killing Blow and Sweeping Blow.
Killing Blow
- Main hand melee attack that instantly kills the target
creature if the attack hits and the to-hit roll is a pair and the
target creature is not immune to instant death effects. Killing Blow
requires a medium or large weapon.
Sweeping Blow
- Main hand melee attack that hits the target creature and up to
strength bonus modifier number of extra targets that are adjacent
to the attacker. Sweeping Blow requires a medium or large weapon.
Sweeping Blow also grants a +1 minimum block and maximum parry
modifiers while equipped with a large weapon.
Shield Bash
- Off-hand shield attack that knocks back and stuns the target for
D3 turns if any damage is caused. Shield Bash cannot be blocked,
dodged, or parried and it requires a melee weapon and a shield.
Shield bash also causes the deflect modifier to equal block
modifier instead of minimum block modifier.
Silent Move
- Move action that hides the creature in plain sight. Melee attacks
made while hidden cause double damage and cannot be blocked, dodged
or parried.
Literacy: Common
- Allows the creature to read and write common, cast spells
scribed on magical scrolls and zap with wands. Literacy: Common is
required in order to learn Literacy: Celestial, Literacy: Draconic,
and Literacy: Infernal talents.
Literacy: Celestial
- Allows the creature to learn
Celestial Spells from magical tomes. Celestial spells always use
Max Cast Modifier of 2 or more regardless of armour.
Literacy: Draconic
- Allows the creature to learn
Draconic Spells from magical tomes.
Literacy: Infernal
- Allows the creature to learn
Infernal Spells from magical tomes.
Focused Cast
- Allows the creature to target and cast spells at any space
within line of sight (normally spells can only be targeted at an
adjacent tile). In addition, direct damage and healing spells
receive D3 points of extra damage or healing instead of 1 for
each point of the relevant bonus modifier.
Silent Cast
- Allows the creature to cast spells while silenced and halves spell
to-hit range modifier rounding down. Silent Cast also teaches
Clearcasting.
Dark Vision
- Increases light radius by 1 and halves ranged attack to-hit
range modifier rounding down.
Dual Wield
- Off-hand attacks no longer receive penalties to hit and damage
and parry modifier equals to agility bonus modifier instead of
one half of it.
Keen Eye
- Increases search radius by 1 and grants a free action that
automatically searches the surroundings when taking a move
or rest action. Keen Eye also allows the creature to re-roll
failed search checks.
Sixth Sense
- Allows the creature to to re-roll failed reflex checks and shows
a warning before picking up, equipping or using an unidentified
cursed item.
Strong Will
- Allows the creature to re-roll failed mental checks and halves the
duration of charm, envy, fear, frenzy, greed, lust, and reckless
effects, rounding down.
Trap Master
- Allows the creature to see hidden bear traps and step on them
without triggering the effects. Trap Master also allows the creature
to disassemble visible bear into trap kits for later use.
Shapeshift: Wolf
- Shapeshifts the creature into a wolf and replaces all weapons
and talents with the following:
- Ferocious Bite (D6, Melee/Medium/Crushing)
- Heroic Charge (Level 3)
- Silent Move (Level 6)
- Sixth Sense (Level 9)
- Keen Eye (Level 12)
Shapeshift: Bear
- Shapeshifts the creature into a bear and replaces all weapons
and talents with the following:
- Ferocious Bite (D6, Melee/Medium/Crushing)
- Heroic Charge (Level 3)
- Crushing Blow (Level 6)
- Strong Will (Level 9)
- Keen Eye (Level 12)
Bestial Wrath
- Increases physical damage by D3 while shapeshifted. This talent is
also improved by the following heritages: Bestial Vigour, Leader of
the Pack.
