I forgot my password on the Epixx.org server, how can I recover it?
- There is no way to verify who created the account in the first
place so you'll have to send email to support at epixx for org
mentioning your account name and some of the character names you have
used while playing. That way I can see that it might have been you who
created it and can reset the password. If you forget the password of
an account with only a few hours of playtime on it, just create a new one.
Note that all accounts were deleted in Summer 2019 but you can create a new one and type /mrgsteam to unlock your heritages and challenges. This works for both online and offline and it can be used as many times as you want.
There is a hidden achievement on Steam, how can I unlock it?
-
There is a command that allows one time merging of heritages and challenges
to Steam using the data from your old 1.x Epixx.org account. This command
can be run exactly one time and it deletes your old data and unlocks the
achievement on Steam that you can't unlock in any other way (at the moment).
If you fail to type in the command exactly right, everyone on the server will know your old account details and can do it for you (so don't make mistakes).
The steps to use this command:
1. Login to your 2.x account on the Epixx.org server.
2. Start a normal difficulty game (uncheck "Please don't hurt me!").
3. Type "/presteam oldaccount oldpassword" without the quotes.
If you don't fail in typing /presteam at the very beginning and your old account and password matches with the ones stored on the server, your 1.x data is deleted and the hidden achievement is unlocked.
Note that there will be another way to unlock the hidden achievement in the future for newer players but there isn't one yet.
Game closes and when I log back on my Epixx.org character is gone...
- The game has anti-cheat checks that make sure that most variables
are not tampered by memory mapping tools. These checks, however, have
no way of knowing whether the invalid values are caused by cheats or
some other reason and may kill your character even if you don't cheat.
If you are not cheating with memory mapping tools then the other possible reasons are overclocked RAM that causes a bit to flip over, faulty RAM or some other application (such as virus or anti-virus).
It is possible to restore a character lost this way but it takes quite a lot of time to do it and I will only ever do it once so don't waste it on some low level toon (try to figure out if any of the above applies to you instead). If you want your character to be restored, do the following:
1. Create a new character with the same name
2. Send email to support at epixx dot org and mention your character name.
3. Log out and wait until it's fixed (this can take days).
