Rogue's Tale for Windows

The following executable is the full version installer of the old version of Rogue's Tale. Note that the new high resolution version is only available through Steam and this version is missing a few years of content and development.

The following server application comes zipped and ready to run as soon as it is unzipped in some folder of your choosing. There's no separate installation wizard for the server and when you decide to uninstall it, just delete the folder and it's gone.

Rogue's Tale for Linux

The following application comes as a tarball and it is ready to run as soon as it is extracted and you have 32 bit libraries installed on your machine. Note that once you get the launcher running, you may have to add -opengl parameter in the expert settings for the game to run depending on how old your X11 is.

Note that if you set up your own server and play on it using some other computer, you will have to add -uselocal parameter in the launcher and manually edit servers.xml (located under My Documents/Rogue's Tale or ~/.rogues_tale) with your own server's information.
